Fast and polite and attentive service, water glass never went empty!!! What I loved most was both my husband and I had different pasta dishes and the sauces were different as they should have been, for that dish. That's when you know you're at an authentic Italian restaurant. The Resturant was cute not huge but cozy

ayyyyyy, i'll tell you what, the ambiance here is unmatched. The people are friendly, the walls are well decorated, the place is appropriately lit, really made me feel as if I was back at my favorite place in new york. But how about the food, eh? I'll tell you, it's not brooklyn, but it's been my favorite meal in Charleston so far. As I ate, I pondered what made a peak pizza, the sauce was great, the cooking was excellent, the pepperoni was crispy. It was a delight to eat. Only thing i woulda changed is maybe adding more cheese. Shoutout to my waitress though, she was the best.

Very affable host, Mario himself, and Mrs Mario was our server. She was excellent as a server and also has a winning personality, very appealing. Speaking of appealing, the food we had was divine Italian comfort food, of the bruschetta, pizza, spaghetti bolognese sort, though the menu offers more sophisticated items as well, and It's a small restaurant, perfect atmosphere, is operated by other family members, and is comfortable and welcoming. Go there tonight for dinner!

Seated right away. Hubby and I ordered a pizza and shared a Caesar Salad. Perfect amount for 2 people. Both were delicious. We were seated near the bar so the bartender was also our waiter. He was super nice and made good sports conversation. Would highly recommend.

Food was very tasty , hot and good potions Menu had a good selection Service was friendly and helpful Ambiance was nice

Tremendous service, intimate atmosphere, delicious salad (burrata e crudo), and decent pizza. Pizza was a little bit on the less flavorful side, but still rather tasty. I wouldn't hesitate to go back!

We came here on the last night of my bachelorette and we loved it. The staff was so accommodating and friendly- setting us up at the bar and treating us like regulars. They had the best espresso martini we had in Charleston! Their pizzas were next level tasty, we shared two as apps along with the mozzarella sticks and the Caesar salad. Caesar was the only thing I'd pass on but pizzas were absolutely fantastic. We also split some pasta and I think the rigatoni ala vodka was spectacular too!

We've been to the King Street Mario's location when it's been a few other businesses (BBQ, dance bar, etc.). However, we'd like to compliment Mario's on how they've laid out the tables, planned a simple menu, and general "feel" of the place. In big(ger) cities, Mario's would fit right in with great food and a "cozy" floor plan, but in Charleston people can be picky and want more space. While the space looks tight, Mario's has a nice "flow through" and doesn't feel crowded like many other King Street restaurants. The host stands outside, will greet you, and gladly answer any menu questions. Very cool. We sat at the bar, watched some hoops, ordered a Strong Island, the Little Italy pizza, and went with the bartender's red wine recommendation. Again, we felt like we had enough space to enjoy our drinks, the game, and pizza. The Little Italy pizza has the meats AND the basil. Combinazione perfetta! Our main recommendations would be to 1) offer side salads (a smaller version of even 2 of the 6 salads would work well) and 2) bake/make a crunchier pizza crust. While the pizza's flavor was awesome, "the fold" quickly fell apart and the pizza all ended up in the middle.
